Welcome to Long Exact

Doing a search on Technorati, I discovered that there don't appear to be (m)any blogs featuring my favorite terms, such as: flag variety, derived category, Borel-Weil-Bott, algebraic groups, etc. I'm pretty sure there's a hell of a lot of demand for this. Let's blog it up!

So what am I trying to do right now? Glad you asked. I'm looking at cohomology vanishing results for bundles on partial flag varieties.

Also I'm attempting to learn as much as I can about geometry and representation theory while working on my problem; currently I'm reading Kumar's Kac-Moody book and Jantzen's book on algebraic groups. Lots to see and do.
